Does running pipelines in parallel consume the sum of their execution time?

Ian Liu Rodrigues

I've looked in the Parallel steps documentation but couldn't find anything. My question is how parallel steps are billed.

Are all parallel steps execution time summed? Or is it just the total pipeline execution time?

Hi Ian,

You are correct - each parallel step contributes separately to the total build execution time even though they are running simultaneously.

When hovering the mouse over the total build time, it will state that parallel steps may be contributing to increased build time when these are used.

Was there anything else you needed clarification on? :)

Cheers!
