Does a Bitbucket access key bypass the repository permissions?

Bill Parlock July 29, 2021

I have a Bitbucket repository that is restricted to certain groups as part of the repository permissions. If I add a ssh-key to that repository , will the original repository permissions still be enforced? In other words, if I add a SSH key to a repository will my repository no longer be restricted to the groups I had set up in the repository permissions.

Yes, the permissions are still enforced if you add a ssh-key to the repository. All the key allows you to bypass is the authentication.
