Does BCMA Tool transfers the resources from BB server to cloud by copying or moving them?

Hi Team,

Does the Bitbucket Cloud migration tool transfer resources (i.e., Repo, PR, Users) to Bitbucket Cloud by copying or moving them permanently?  Also, when users are included in the migration process, does this have any impact on the Bitbucket Server?

Welcome to the community!

If you haven't already raised a migration ticket with us, I highly recommend doing so. This will enable us to respond to your inquiries promptly.

That being said, BCMA will only copy the data from your Bitbucket server to the cloud and will not overwrite or make any changes to your existing data on the server. Consequently, it will have no impact on your Bitbucket users on the server.

In short, they can continue to use the Bitbucket server as usual without any interruptions.
