On this page:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/install-and-configure-a-remote-elasticsearch-instance-815577748.html

it says to use the following parameters in the elastic search yml file:

index.mapper.dynamic: false
action.auto_create_index: false
network.host: 0.0.0.0

In Elastic Search 5.5.3 if you use the index mapper parameter you get the error:

[2018-02-05T10:31:41,518][ERROR][o.e.b.Bootstrap ] Exception java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: node settings must not contain any index level settings

Hi John, thanks for the feedback. The team is now aware of this and we'll be contacting the documentation team to update this info.

However, the index.mapper that you mentioned does not appear on that doc, can you clarify where you got it?

Best regards!
Ana

Hi Ana,

Thanks for your reply.

It looks like the page has been update. I posted the question on the 6th of February and it was updated on the 7th. I am guessing that the 7th of February update removed the reference to the index.mapper.

Regards,

John
