Detect Auto Merge in Pipeline

If the user dont have merge privilege, the pipeline not suppose doing auto deploy

furthermore, the admin must rerun the deployment step to make sure

the deployment vs merged to master, and

version in master vs production is more controllable

How to detect in pipeline, whether the pull-request triggering pipeline is auto merge ?

Thank you for reaching out to the community.
Based on my understanding, you'd like to restrict users from deploying through Pipelines.
If that's correct, you can leverage and set up the Pipelines Deployments feature where you can restrict the ability to deploy to admins, or to specific branches.
