Deleted forks origin repo, how to recreate links between origin and forks?

Jacques-Yves Bleau March 20, 2023

If a "master" origin repository, which has many forks, is deleted, the Bitbuclet "links" between the origin and the forks seems to be deleted too.

Then, if the origin repo is recreated with the same name and git history, is there a way in Bitbucket to re-link all the forks to this new identifcal repository so we could merge again within Bitbucket?

Using the API?
Or will the forks simply need to be recreated also?

Thanks

For those looking for a solution, there is a suggestion ticket to implement this feature within the Bitbucket API:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-22569

You should vote for it if this feature would be useful for you.
