Default pull-request approvers

Moti Heller Aug 12, 2014

Hi,

Is there a way to define in Stash a default pull-request approver for a certain repository?

We have a requirement that only a release manager should be able to merge changes to master, and we would like to pre-define a release manager per repository so that the developer wouldn't have to manually add the release manager as the approver for a pull request.

Thanks,

Moti.

We use Workzone (stash plugin/add-on) to define default reviewers.

It allows you to adjust the list by branch name. Wildcards accepted.

About default reviewers, please see one answer here.

Additionally, you can set the branch permissions in such a way that only the release manager has write access to master.

Thanks for the answer.

So there is no existing feature - we need to develop this feature.

As for branch permissions - i am aware of this and this is indeed what we are doing in order to restrict who can merge.

Thanks,

Moti.

You might want to make a feature request for this here, you are not the first to want this functionality.
