I've created a new Bitbucket repository in DI2E environment.

I'm trying to figure out how to clone the repository locally to my machine.

But the command line interface does not recognize git commands. I get the following error message: 'git' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operatble program or batch file.

I'm using, like many of the other folks using Bitbucket on DI2E, a government furnished laptop with a lot of administrative controls on it. Not sure if I'm supposed to install any git software or what DI2E tools already exist that will help me get to the next step.

Any assistance will be helpful. Thank you.

Hi @Ricardo Miranda

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Based on the error message you do not have git installed or the PATH environment variable does not contain the path to your git executable, so that is the first thing I would look at.
