Hello community,

I am facing an issue with bitbucket when trying to see the jira issues related to a deployment.

When i follow this steps:

  1. Open the repo on Bitbucket website
  2. Select Deployments from the sidebar on the left
  3. Select the deployment environment you are interested in. On the right side of the page, you will see a list of all builds that have deployed to that environment.
  4. Select the build you are interested in, and you will see a new window that has the tabs Commits, Diff, Issues. The Issues tab will show you all associated Jira issues.

In Step 4 i cannot see the associated jira tickets although the jira issue number is mentioned in the commits. Other members of my team they can see the associated jira tickets.

Adding a screenshot.

Thank you in advance.

G'day, @Kostas Tsolakos

Welcome to the community!

That's an interesting issue. If I understand correctly, you're unable to see the deployment that showcases the linked Jira issues, while other team members can view them without any problems. Is that correct? I want to confirm that this issue only affects you, and other team members can see the same deployment without any issues.

If this is the situation you are in, can you try accessing the same tab from an incognito window or from a different web browser to eliminate a browser-specific issue?

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Syahrul

Hi @Syahrul

Thank you for your input.

I managed to see the jira issues in the tab.

Finally the root cause was that the email of my bitbucket account was slightly different from my email in the atlassian account.

Hello @Kostas Tsolakos

The issue where you can’t see associated Jira issues in Bitbucket deployments, despite them being visible to your teammates, could be related to permissions or how your account is integrated with Jira.

Ensure that your Bitbucket account is correctly linked to the Jira instance and that you have the necessary permissions to view issue data. Also, confirm that your account has been added to the right project roles in Jira for access.

If everything seems configured correctly and the issue persists, it could be a sync issue between Bitbucket and Jira. Try re-linking your accounts or clearing any cached integrations.
