Hi,
I am not able te link Bitbucket to my Atlassian Organisation.
We have for Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence a Educational Premium license.
Bitbucket is also free stadard edition as we are educational organisation.
We had an bitbucket workspace long before it was part of Atlassian.
Can anyone shed som light please?
Thanks.
Bram
Hi Bram and welcome to the community!
There are two ways to link Bitbucket to an Atlassian Organization and different things can be achieved with each option.
The first way is by using the steps in the documentation that Hana also shared:
An Atlassian Guard (formerly known as Atlassian Access) subscription is needed to do that. What you achieve by doing that is accessing the Bitbucket workspace's Audit Log in the Atlassian Organization's Audit Log. Please keep in mind that this option does not provide unified user management with Jira/Confluence Cloud.
The second way is by creating a new Bitbucket workspace, which is now possible only via an Atlassian Organization:
Workspaces created within an Atlassian Organization have their user management within this organization.
This feature is not available yet for workspaces that were created before 5th February 2024. Our team is working to make this available for older workspaces as well, updates will be posted in this feature request:
If you're looking for something different please feel free to reach out!
Kind regards,
Theodora
Hi @Bram van Huele ,
welcome to the Atlassian community.
Please, what exactly do you mean by "I am not able te link Bitbucket to my Atlassian Organisation." Could you please provide the exact steps you follow?
It is possible to link existing Bitbucket workspace to your organization, but according to this article action is available only if you also have Atlassian Guard installed.
