Cannot push the committed code from SourceTree to the BitBucket Server repository. - Bitbucket Server Support (formerly Stash) - Service Desk
Hello all,
Fyi, the concerned user cannot push the committed changes on SourceTree to the BitBucket Server on the repository.
The error message says that the user has only read permission and hence the Push cannot be performed as he does not have Read/Write permission.
However, I have granted the User Access to the user and he has Read/Write permission. So I am not sure what is going on. I am attaching an image (User_Access.JPG, the user is Yiren Shen) of the User Access permission as well.
If however, I change the default permission of the Project (of which the Repository is a part) from no access to Write access then Push for him works (and it will work for all logged in users so that is not the right way.
Bottom line, the User Access is correct, so it should have worked. not sure why it is not working. Can you please give some insights into what is going on?
I am also attaching an image of the Error that the user gets while doing push (Push_Error.png)
Thanks,
Gurpreet
P.S.: The user tested pushing files from Command Prompt and was able to push teh files. Hence, the issue seems to be in SourceTree only.
Hey @Gurpreet Narula,
Maybe the problem is related to the credentials saved in your Sourcetree? Can you please remove your account from Sourcetree and re-add it?
Cheers,
Felipe
