Can't start installer in console mode

LostSnail May 11, 2020

Trying to upgrade an existing installation of Bitbucket Server. When attempting to start the installer from the console, I am given the following error:

java.awt.AWTError: Assistive Technology not found: org.GNOME.Accessibility.AtkWrapper
at java.awt.Toolkit.loadAssistiveTechnologies(Toolkit.java:807)
at java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit(Toolkit.java:886)

at com.install4j.runtime.installer.frontend.headless.ConsoleScreenExecutor.<init>(ConsoleScreenExecutor.java:24)

This is a headless Ubuntu Server instance, though some amount of a desktop environment is installed. I am trying to execute the installer over ssh and get the error regardless of the presence of the '-c' flag.

Try to export JVM Headless paramters before start installer:

export INSTALL4J_ADD_VM_PARAMS='-Djava.awt.headless=true -Djavax.accessibility.assistive_technologies=java.lang.Object'
