Build artifacts not available on rerun

I tried to create a bug, but BCLOUD was not available to me, so posting it here instead.

 

My build pipeline has multiple steps, earlier ones create artifacts and later ones deploy them.

If I rerun failed steps, the artifacts generated before the failed step, are not available to steps after the failed step.

Hi Neil,

Are the steps that are missing the artifacts triggered more than 14 days after the step that generated the artifacts? Artifacts are stored for 14 days following the execution of the step that produced them.

Can you also please confirm the following:

  • Expand the Build teardown section in the build log of the step that produced the artifacts and check if there is a message about successful upload of artifacts.
  • Expand the Build setup in the build log of a step where the artifacts are missing; is there any error message regarding artifacts download that indicates the reason for failure?

I am not able to reproduce the error you are reporting for artifacts generated within the last 14 days and after a successful upload of artifacts in the step that generates them. I tried running a pipeline with three steps, where the first one produces the artifacts and the second step fails. After rerunning the second step so that it succeeds, the artifacts are available during the third step.

If your step ran within 14 days after the artifacts were produced and you see no errors in the build logs, I suggest creating a ticket with the support team. In the ticket, you can share the build URL for further investigation.

You can create a ticket via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/, in "What can we help you with?" select "Technical issues and bugs" and then Bitbucket Cloud as product. When you are asked to provide the workspace URL, please make sure you enter the URL of the workspace that is on a paid billing plan to proceed with ticket creation.
