Bug in bitbucket.io

Cat_Kutay May 9, 2023

I think the httpd version on the server is behind. We are using bitbucket in class, and the w3c validator process comes back with

Bitbucket error.png

eg try  (I cannot paste!!???!) https://budyari.bitbucket.io.

Hello @Cat_Kutay ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I was able to successfully load the link you shared using Chrome version 113.0.5672.92, so I suspect this might be a local browser issue.

Could you try updating your browser to the latest version or trying to use a different browser and check if the issue persists (Bitbucket supported browsers)? Also, does the same error happens when you open the page using the browser's incognito mode?

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, @Cat_Kutay !

I have 60 students, most with same problem

The error message does not relate to browser, it is w3c validator access to the URL on bitbucket.io

https://validator.w3.org/

Works on github.io

Hello @Cat_Kutay ,

Thank you for the clarification!

From the HTTP status code returned (HTTP 426), the server (bitbucket.io) is refusing the connection because the client (w3.org validator) is using an old/unsupported protocol.

In this case, I would suggest reporting this to w3.org, as they have a Report issue link available on the website. They will have more logs and details on what protocol upgrade is necessary on their side to allow the connection with bitbucket.io.

Thank you, @Cat_Kutay !
