Branch permission for all repositories

tw_ntc_tpkd August 23, 2021

I am subscribing premium plan for bitbucket. How can I set branch permission for all the repositories under a project? I have followed the article from https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/using-branch-permissions-776639807.html, but there was no branch permissions in the project setting.

Hi @tw_ntc_tpkd and welcome to the community!

The documentation you linked is applicable for Bitbucket Server (self-hosted instances), I'm afraid this feature is not available in Bitbucket Cloud yet. At the moment, branch permissions must be set on a per-repository basis in Bitbucket Cloud.

We have a feature request for what you are asking in our issue tracker:

I would suggest that you add your vote in the feature request (by selecting the Vote for this issue link) as the number of votes helps the development team and product managers better understand the demand for new features. You are more than welcome to leave any feedback, and you can also add yourself as a watcher (by selecting the Start watching this issue link) if you'd like to get notified via email on updates.

Implementation of new features is done as per our policy here and any updates will be posted in the feature request.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
