Branch Type Filter does not list all types

Daniel Aldridge February 1, 2021

If I go into my branches, I'm given a filter of types release, feature, bug fix.  There is another type of branch that is not in the list and I dont know what type it is. I think it might be "Other", but it is not in the list. How do I view branches that are not of the 3 types liste?

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

The filter 'Branch type' is based on the branch prefixes defined in the repo's Repository settings > Branching model.

If you are an admin of this repo, you can open it in Bitbucket Cloud website, then go to Repository settings > Branching model. In the Branch prefixes section, you can define up to 4 prefixes. If you have defined only 3 of them, you can select the 4th one and define its prefix. It should then show up in the filters in the Branches page.

If you don't have admin access to the repo, you can request help from one of the admins to set this up.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
