Bitbucket Server to Cloud Migration Wizard Error - hg is not one of the available choices

Hi Community,

We trying to migrate to the cloud.  We are currently using Bitbucket server.  We used the cloud migration plugin tool, but it did not work.

We received this message when we tried to import to the Bitbucket cloud in the error log:

"BitBucket Select a valid choice. hg is not one of the available choices"

I selected to migrate only one project that was Git only and received the same message.

We have only repos that are mixed in the server.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Tim

G'day!

Assuming you have read through the BCMA documentation already (if you have not - key links are below):
* [Plan your Bitbucket Server to cloud migration|https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/plan-your-bitbucket-server-to-cloud-migration/]
* [How to Migrate from Bitbucket Server to Cloud|https://www.atlassian.com/migration/resources/bitbucket-migration-assistant]
* [Migrating to Bitbucket Cloud|https://bitbucket.org/product/demo-migration]

HG repositories have not been supported in Bitbucket Cloud since 2020 and any existing repositories have been removed from our platform entirely. You will need to either convert these to GIT repositories in Bitbucket Server first, or remove them before attempting to run the migration again.

Please let me know if any further clarification is required.

Cheers!

- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
