Hi,
We automate what we can in our BB pipeline CI/CD system.
Is there a way to add a step to notify pipeline run requester to his Slack account?
Case:
I know about the pipe slack-notify: https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/slack-notify/src
However, there is not possible to select the Slack's user.
Hi Mateusz,
We have an integration with Slack that allows creating subscriptions in a DM:
However, this is possible only for repository admins, and if you set it to send notifications on 'pipeline failed' and 'pipeline succeeded', it will send notifications for all builds in that repo (not just for the ones you triggered).
We have a feature request in our issue tracker for personal notifications that includes your use case:
Since you'd be interested in that feature, I would suggest adding your vote to that feature request (by selecting the Vote for this issue link) as the number of votes helps the development team and product managers better understand the demand for new features. You are more than welcome to leave any feedback, and you can also add yourself as a watcher (by selecting the Start watching this issue link) if you'd like to get notified via email on updates.
Implementation of new features is done as per our policy here and any updates will be posted in the feature request.
In the meantime, you could create a Slack channel specifically for this reason, use our integration for notifications on 'pipeline failed' and 'pipeline succeeded', and ask users to monitor this channel.
Kind regards,
Theodora
