Bitbucket LFS file lock implementation - Game Development

We are currently evaluating Bitbucket for game development.  We see that GIT with LFS has the file locking feature implemented but Bitbucket does not.  File locking is a crucial feature when working with binary files that cannot be merged - (standard in video games).

Without this feature, it is not practical for large teams to develop a game where multiple people work on binary files.  I saw the request feature thread and added a vote and see it is almost at 100 requests for this feature.

Is there any update on the status of this?

Thank you!

Hi Denis! You'll be more likely to receive this kind of information in the feature thread itself. I've left an internal comment in that feature for the developers or PM to post an update. Please watch that ticket to be notified of further notifications :)

Best regards,
