Bitbucket DataCenter v8.19.5 - Clear Approvals when Pull Request Changes

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Prior to migrating to this version of BitBucker DataCenter, when a developer made additional changes to an approved Pull Request, all existing approvals were deleted. This no longer appears to happen, and I can't find a setting to turn it on. Not requiring a new approval for a rebase is fine since the diff isn't changing.
Is this no longer supported? It seems like a really bad idea to allow a developer to make unlimited changes to a PR and not require it to be approved.
