Bitbucket Cloud - Analytics

Cristiano Sticca February 1, 2022

Hi all,

In our team we have many BB projects each one with one or more repository.

We need to collect BB metrics (e.g. commit, PR, deploy on prod, and so on) in order to have dashboards (on Jira/Confluence) about those metrics.

We found the plugin "awesome graphs" but for BB cloud it's very simple and doesn't have many features (like Rest API, Export data) that instead it has for on-premise version.

What do you suggest to accomplish this goal?

Thank you in advance!

Hey Cristiano!

Unfortunately, at present, there is no analytics feature that will provide statistics across multiple repositories/projects in Bitbucket Cloud. The "awesome graphs" plugin is the closest but unfortunately only shows statistics per repository.
I have raised a feature request in the past for a similar request, feel free to "Watch" this feature request for future updates:

Cheers!

Hi @Cristiano Sticca

Another off-the-shelf web app alternative for mapping insights across multiple repositories is our Team Performance Summary from umano.tech.

By connecting a Jira Board, and then supporting bitbucket repositories (as many as you want per board), you’ll see on your project space, insights and trends relating to:

  • Pull Request Size (total lines per PR, including lines added and remove)

  • Time to first Review (who submitted and who approved)

  • Time to Merge (including when submitted, approved and merged)

  • PR Collaboration (the number of team members interacting with each PR, when and what they did)

There are more Bitbucket metrics coming soon.

Umano displays insights into your review practices in two ways:

  1. Interval (sprint or Kanban) Summary - a. snapshot of how your currently tracking, updated daily, along with the drivers most affecting your team’s performance scores for the interval
  2. Charts - a longitudinal view of each metrics to highlight how your team’s practices are developing over time, trending as far back as you need. Charts also benchmark interval performance against how your usually perform so you can understand whether you’re above or below your usual way of practicing. Importantly, Umano presents context as to why changes in a team’s practice are occurring, so the know what action to take to improve.

Interval summaries can also be exported to email as a report so they can be shared with broader stakeholder groups for a data-driven performance conversation.

We offer a free 30 day trial, so feel free to sign-up and see how your team is tracking.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
