Hello,
I found this article saying that BitBucket is ending support.
Is this true? Does this mean I need to migrate to a different VCS to have support from the platform?
Best,
Oscar
Hi @Oscar Chang 👋 it's Dave from the Bitbucket team. As @Robert Wen_Cprime_ mentions, with Bitbucket Server reaching its EOL, you have the option of moving to either Bitbucket Cloud or Bitbucket Data Center.
Here's the migration guide for Server > Cloud:
https://www.atlassian.com/migration/resources/bitbucket-migration-assistant
And here's the upgrade guide from Server > Data Center:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/upgrade-from-bitbucket-server-to-bitbucket-data-center-996641211.html
Will Bitbucket Server continue to run perpetually after EOL and license expiration? I'm aware that we will not receive bug fixes and security patches after EOL. Currently running Bitbucket v7.21.18 on windows.

Hello @Matt Adasczik ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Yes, Server licenses are perpetual and will allow you to run your Bitbucket Server.
The EOL affects maintenance agreements, which prevent you from receiving new versions and security updates.

Oscar,
Only Bitbucket Server is reaching End of Life in February.
If you're on Bitbucket Data Center (still on-prem) or Bitbucket Cloud (SaaS solution), you should be set.
