We have a Pull Request based on several commits made by several people on our team, including myself. The PR was created by one user (say, John) who is one of the committers. The Build Checks have passed and now we only need the Approval Check. I am one of the Default Reviewers and I have approved the PR, but BB refuses to accept it as an approval.
I'm guessing that BB refuses to accept an approval from one of the committers, but we have only a small team and we will not be able to approve this if we exclude all committers.
We believe Commit Checks are important, but BB makes it very difficult to use.
How can we fix this?
Hey Kevin,
Are you able to check Repository Settings > Branch Restrictions > Merge Settings for that particular repository and verify the "minimum number of approvals from default reviewers" setting?
If this is set to 2, the merge should be able to complete even if one of the default reviewers created the pull request as long as there is another default reviewer approval.
Cheers!
