Auto upload file to Downloads section

I develop a Python script that I package up into a downloadable .oxt file. This .oxt file can be installed as an add-on in OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice, so it needs to be in this specific form. I have a build script on my machine that generates the .oxt file. My question is: can I set up an automated process to upload the .oxt file on every push into my BitBucket repo?

Ideally, Bitbucket would have an API for this. We don't yet. You can vote up the enhancement request by watching it.
