This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: repositories Endpoint
When creating new repositories for my org, we would like to do it programmatically through the API but we have external webhooks that we call for pushes.
There doesn't seem to be an endpoint that accepts and configures webhooks. Are there any plans to add this feature?
This is already possible, see Manage webhooks in the Bitbucket Cloud REST API documentation, specifically section Create webhooks:
You can create a webhook through Bitbucket Cloud or with the API. Use the following steps to create a webhook on a repository in Bitbucket. The administrators of a repository are the only users who can create a webhook on that repository.
[...]
To create a webhook using the API, you need to know the format of the HTTP request that Bitbucket expects and the format of the HTTP response that Bitbucket returns to your server. Refer to the reference documentation for descriptions and examples of these requests and responses.
The latter links to the webhooks resource, which manages webhooks on a Bitbucket Cloud repository and provides resp. REST API methods to POST a webhook etc.
Thanks!
I looked there and didnt see the link at the end of the paragraph that actually pointed to the api docs at https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/webhooks-resource-735642279.html . It only appeared to have instructions on how to do it in the Web interface.
