We will be migrating from Bitbucket Server to Bitbucket Cloud soon and have about a hundred repositories that we would like to archive. We are trying to identify the recommended method of storing and managing these archives.
Ideally: a) the archived source code (most recent commit) would still be readable and b) the history/branches would be preserved so that it could be imported into Bitbucket Cloud if necessary.
We have looked into keeping the archived repositories in Bitbucket Server as well as cloning the archived repositories to an internal shared drive. Are there any other possible solutions? What is the typical way this problem is solved?
