Any way to *not* force HTTPS?

I'm trying to link an automatic updater directly to Bitbucket. Only problem is, the automatic updater doesn't always support HTTPS, and Bitbucket forces HTTPS on all pages. Is there any way to disable this for my repository?

While we don't have a way to turn off https for normal bitbucket.org https calls, you can do a couple of things assuming your goal is to simply update your repo:
