Allow write permission for OAuth Consumer in Branch Restriction Workflow

Hello Everyone,

I have setup semantics using OAuth Consumer, everything is working fine.

I do not want my team to commit to master branch by mistake, so want to restrict access to few people but semantic bot needs write access to create the tag.

How can I include OAuth consumer in the list?

Hi @Viresh Mathad

Thank you for reaching out to the community.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to add an OAuth consumer to a branch restriction settings.
Only users or groups can be added there right now.

As a workaround, if you're using a bot Bitbucket Cloud account, I'd recommend adding the bot account in the branch permission setting and then using basic authentication (e.g. username and app password) when you use the bot account instead of the OAuth consumer.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,
Mark C
