Access Images in Bitbucket pull request description via API?

Tyler Mann August 18, 2022

Is there a way to access images that are uploaded to the body of a pull request via Bitbucket API? For example the images get converted to have a format like this: "https://bitbucket.org/repo/<repo>/images/<imageid>-image.png"

Accessing this kind of url seems to require session authentication. I am wondering if there is an API or way to access these images programmatically using an oauth token or access token?

Hi @Tyler Mann,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Currently, I'm afraid that it is not possible to fetch images contained within a Pull Request comment through the Rest API. In this case, I've taken the liberty to raise a Feature Request with our development team in order to address this opportunity. You can check it through the following link:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-22105

Our development team will give a first-hand update through that ticket if there's any progress made so I would suggest keeping a watch for it. Please note that all enhancements are implemented with this policy in mind.

Cheers,

Mateus T
