ADFS / SSO login over Xcode

antonio.ivcec June 4, 2020

I am trying to connect to my Bitbucket Cloud account in Xcode, but it always fails with "Your account or password is incorrect". I'm certain this happens because of our SSO solution. I tried signing in with both my username and password, as well as with an app password - both fail with the same message.

This is really unfortunate as it makes using personal swift packages impossible.

Is there any other way to login in this scenario?

I suppose "connect" here really means "via whatever git protocol supported", though this article implies there is some build-in wizardry in Xcode.

Using the app password should work for git. Have you actually tried using it with a regular git client?

I have no problems accessing my account through SourceTree using an App password.

I can only suggest to raise it via http://support.atlassian.com/ though based on what I can find on the net it's an XCode issue.

This article seems to imply that if you check it out with SourceTree beforehand, XCode will just work with it and commit/push/pull as normal: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46418549/how-to-configure-xcode-with-bitbucket

Could be because it needs your username and not your email address - it shows your username on this page: https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/
