Hi
I try to enter this URL: https://bitbucket.org/CEMS-Team/CEMS-Team/cems-schemas.git/info/refs and there is a prompt for a username and password.
I tried all combinations of username/email and account password/app password without luck.
I ask about this URL: https://bitbucket.org/CEMS-Team/CEMS-Team/cems-schemas.git/info/refs because the Squiz app uses this URL and I get:
"Error occurred when running git command "/usr/bin/git pull": error: The requested URL returned error: 401 while accessing https://CEMS-Team:*****@bitbucket.org/CEMS-Team/cems-schemas.git/info/refs, , fatal: HTTP request failed"
When I pulled this repository using GIT on my computer it was fine when I used my username and app password.
Please help.
G'day!
I have noticed that you have not yet been reached out to by our Community so figured I would jump in.
I do not have any product-specific knowledge for Squiz, however, I have made some observations and found some relevant information that may be useful to you.
The URL you have provided does not work for me either with my own repository - however, I am unsure of what the purpose behind the "/info/refs" portion is as that is not generally what we would see when running git commands. The only time I have seen this is when this error message displays with that portion appended to the URL, it only displays when a valid git repository cannot be found:
Pushing to https://USERNAME@bitbucket.org/USERNAME/REPONAME.git
fatal: https://USERNAME@bitbucket.org/USERNAME/REPONAME.git/info/refs not valid: is this a git repository?
This makes sense as the first URL you have provided is not valid, it has the workspaceID (CEMS-Team) twice in the URL instead of once:
I would suggest leaving this /info/refs portion out, as aside from this, the URL is correct in the 401 Error you mentioned (including your inclusion of username:AppPassword in the URL).
Checking the documentation for Squiz also shows that "info/refs" is not needed in the URL if you check the URL listed in the screenshot:
https://docs.squiz.net/matrix/version/latest/tutorials/designs-and-templates/set-up-a-git-bridge.html#clone-the-repository-to-matrix
If you are able to clone locally without issue, and have followed the above, yet still encounter issues with Squiz - I would suggest reaching out to their support team for further assistance: https://my.squiz.net/
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
