We have a Jira and a Bitbucket Server instance running. Both are integrated and Bitbucket Commits are automatically linked to the Jira Issues.

Now another party in our company would like to use our central Bitbucket Server with another Tool.

Is there a way to configure the Ticket detection in a way that the 3rd party tool can use prefixes on their projects?

The goal is, that Jira tickets are still linked to Jira and commits related to the other tool are linked to the third party tool.

edit: to answer the question hat came up.

a) The other tool is Polarion.

b) I try to get Bitbucket to link issues to our Jira system as before and in addition link issues that have a specific prefix e.g. POLARIONXYZ-564 to Polarion.

c) Polarion has a sychronisation with some of our Jira projects. But some projects only exist only in Polarion (and others just in Jira).

Hi Benjamin,

What's the other tool they want to use? What are you trying to achieve? Does it provide integration with Bitbucket?

We need more info about what the other tool does and how would they work together, so we have a better understanding of what you need.

Let us know!

Ana
