Why does Search hide results? If you don't want to see the results, just don't search

I was just doing a search, with 22 hits (files) and in every case there was a link to click to unhide some of the results. So I had to click 22 times.

For starters, I don't want to hear about some option to unhide the results, I'm doing a search, why would I want results hidden by default? Kind of defeats the purpose of search does it not?

Go ahead and add an option to hide the results, for those rare occasions when people don't want to actually see the results of their search. Ya, ya, I get it could be useful after the file has been inspected and deemed to not be relevant, but certainly not before.
