Veeam surebackup preprod environment for Bitbucket

Veeam has got a feature where you can setup a preprod environment to test that one or more VM:s works when restoring these from backups. This is done in a sandboxed environment but you can setup a proxy that is part of the restored system so you should be able to communicate with the outside world from such instance.  We are using Veeam for backup and are trying to setup a sandboxed preprod environment but we encounter issues when trying to communicate to the Atlassian marketplace from Bitbucket. Starting a browser on the Bitbucket server VM, connecting and logging in to Bitbucket works fine but, when I go to the plugin page looking for updates to the plugins we have installed, it complains that it can not get hold of the Atlassian marketplace.

Surfing from the same browser to marketplace.atlassian.com work fine though....

Anyone with similar issues and even better, a solution to this?
