Reset my password? For what?

I joined Bitbucket yesterday, Sept. 5, 2019.  Today, I tried to log in and got a message saying that I need to change my password because of a security breach.  However, the message is dated August 19.  I joined on Sept. 5th.  Either that message is inaccurate, or the security breach has not been remedied.  Which is it?  Can I trust Atlassian?
