Hi,
The UNLICENSED lozenge means that the user has not been granted (directly or via a group) access to Bitbucket Server.
In order for a user to have access to Bitbucket Server and be able to perform any git operations (including clone and pull), the user has to have at a minimum the "Bitbucket User" permission level. See the Global permissions page for reference.
In Bitbucket Server, users can be defined directly in the application or sourced from an external user directory (e.g. LDAP, Crowd, Jira).
These are the most common reasons for users appearing as UNLICENSED:
- the user does not belong to a group that has been granted access to Bitbucket Server
- the external directory synchronization is not functional
As a best practice, for external users, we recommend the change (likely adding the user to a group) to be done in the external directory and then trigger the Synchronization in Bitbucket (or wait for the synchronization to be automatically performed - the default is one hour).
For internal users, the user can be added to a group (preferred option) or the permissions can be directly granted.
Cheers,
Caterina - Atlassian

Beginning on April 4th, we will be implementing push limits. This means that your push cannot be completed if it is over 3.5 GB. If you do attempt to complete a push that is over 3.5 GB, it will fail...
