New improvements to user management in Bitbucket Cloud đź‘Ą

Hey Community! We’re willing to wager that quite a few of you not only use Bitbucket, but administer it too. Our team is excited to share that we’ll be releasing improvements throughout this month of June to make managing repository access simpler (and making your life easier in the process!). Here’s a quick summary of the changes you’ll see next time you’re in your workspace settings.

Get a bird’s eye view of all users on the new User Directory page

You can now see all the users in your workspace - and with search, you can quickly find the user you’re looking for. You can also filter this directory by who has access to a specific repository.

And when you click “View Access”, we’ll now pop up a modal which shows the groups that the user is part of, as well as the repositories that the user has direct access to.

Find the right user group in the updated User Groups page

You’ll now be able to more easily find the group you’re looking for, including filtering by search term. Sort user groups by name, number of group members, and number of repositories the group has access to.

Change and remove permissions easily in the improved User and Group Access page

You can now filter your users and groups by what permission level they have for a given repository. Have a lot of users? You can now change and remove permissions for users and groups in bulk using the checkboxes.

Thanks again for letting Bitbucket Cloud power your team. Let us know if you have any feedback below on these new changes!

Cheers,

All very helpful, but best of all would be the ability to export audit trail and a full record in machine-readable format. See BCLOUD-14419 & BCLOUD-13142.

But email id is not visible in Group .  which is very bad in removing  from group if two person have exact same name

Solid improvements … but I'd still love to see SAML SSO managed by Atlassian Access with Bitbucket managed along with Jira and Confluence through the Atlassian admin panel.

This thing claims I don't have any accesses to any of my own repositories, so it's not really helping a whole lot.

How can we search members by the email?
