Is bitbucket pipelines secure?

We are looking into using pipelines to deploy to our Azure instance but the configuration looks sketchy, sending credentials and deployment scripts over IP.

What security measures are put in place?

Hello Arielle,

Security is always a good concern to have, you should never become complacent with security. With this said, Atlassian does take security and privacy very serious. We have a rather extensive document which walks though how Atlassian does security (to include cloud). You may find this document at Security Practices.

Along with this, Atlassian does have a bug bounty program to ensure our products stay safe and secure. You may find more about the bug bounty at

I hope this helps you to find further information how security is handled along with answering how secure your data will be.
