does there exist a bambooo install and documentation that is correct?

just get multiple errors
prereq' are ok, ie jav_home defined with jdk. i am using the ubuntu 18.04 sudo install user
just constantly getting error s like cannot touch a Catalina.out directory and yet i made the containing log folder wide open 777 for tests.
