Use Bamboo variables in password fields inside tasks

I have few tasks in bamboo like SCP, SSh and others where we have to input password inside the password field.

It seems except for password fields we can use bamboo variables to pass values to any field in bamboo tasks.

Is there a way we can do so for password fields to avoid the manual effort of entering same password in each of those password fields and updating them every time it expires with the new password value.

Hello Ashley,

Thank you for your inquire.

Bamboo does not evaluate the password value checking whether it is a Bamboo variable or not.

What you could do instead is make use of Script task and call your SSH / SCP command passing the Bamboo variable.

Kind regards,

For using "Script" task, I should have bamboo agent installed in the server, right?

Please, clarify your inquire as I could not followed you.
