Upgrading to Bamboo 6.6.1 reorders deployment environments

Jon Stalnaker August 27, 2018

We upgraded to Atlassian Bamboo version 6.6.1 build 60605 - 04 Jul 18 and now all of our environments (11 environments for 15 applications) are all out of order.  Has anyone else seen this and please tell me there is an easy way to revert them other than doing it manually.

Hello Jon,

Thanks for posting on the Community.

This issue is likely a slight regression BAM-19984 which is fixed in 6.6.2 or 6.7

Unfortunately, no easy workaround except to upgrade to 6.6.2.

thanks

Chris

We have a customer that wants me to manually reorder them all again.  Is it safe to say that if I try to do that, it will either be A. unsuccessful, or B. mess up again when this bug gets fixed?

Hi Jon,

Unfortunately, the Bug means that any ordering that you set will be ignored during display in the UI. I believe you will be unsuccessful in reordering the deployment environments in any consistent way. You will need to upgrade to resolve the display ordering issue.

cheers

That's unfortunate as we're not scheduled to upgrade for another 2 months.  I hope this issue has been added to your regression tests.  Thanks for you prompt assistance!
