Upgrade path from Bamboo version 6.2.5 to 7.0.3

Hi All,

according to the upgrade path on the Atlassian site we would need to take Bamboo from 6.2.5 to 7.0.3 via version 6.5.

Is this the case?  It would be nicer to do it in one hop, if that's not too big a risk.

Thanks,

Anna

Hi @jal58 ,

When you do a major upgrade jump between versions, there are chances that something goes wrong and we might not be able to isolate the problem when you encounter any issues.

For instance, we have introduced embedded crowd feature for user management in Bamboo 6.6. If you encounter issues during the upgrade to 7.0.3, our safe fallback would be to 6.5, which is still fairly recent than the version you use and thus it gets easier to troubleshoot in a more recent version.

Although the direct hop might just work, it is best to follow our recommended upgrade approach. Hope that clarifies.

Cheers,
Jey
