Upgrade Bamboo 6.10 to 9.0

Jens Peter Troelsen August 29, 2022

After upgrade Bamboo wont start:

You cannot access Bamboo at present. Look at the table below to identify the reasons:

TimeLevelTypeDescriptionException
2022-08-29 13:10:10fatalbootstrapBamboo bootstrap failed: Unable to run pre-bootstrap upgrade tasks as your support period has ended. Please contact Atlassian Support at https://support.atlassian.com

The server was running fine, with our valid Bamboo starter licens, but after the upgrade it wont start.

This tells me that you don't have Bamboo under active maintenance.

Thank you for the answer, but our Bamboo starter licens is valid to the year 2023, so it is under active maintenance.

I found this Knowledgeable article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamkb/unable-to-run-pre-bootstrap-upgrade-tasks-as-your-support-period-has-ended-762874747.html

You may have an active license, but is it in your bamboo.cfg.xml?

See if this is it.
