I use a Bitbucket server (7.7.1) with a Bamboo server (7.2.1), so there is a default trigger Bitbucket server repository trigger which is triggered whenever there is a push to the branch.
This is not the behaviour I expect because my required behaviour is that a build is triggered only when there is an open PR for this branch (e.g. merging the branch into develop). Is there any way it can be achieved?
Actually I have found a solution. I needed to go to Edit plan -> Branches and select When pull request is created. In this case Bamboo creates a new sub-plan for the branch and triggers a build. This is exactly what I require
