Support of Custom Build Aliases?

Edited

We are using Bamboo for many years and often I miss a feature or way to somehow provide a custom build configuration to unexperienced users, e.g. persons that just want to pick up certain artifacts that are not continuously build for perfomance reasons such as generated documentation.

As build plan creator I know how to configure it to produce the required results, but for the others it is somewhat ugly to override a specific build variable. Therfore is would be usefull if such a configuration could be predefined and saved as named configuration.

Thus instead of "run cusomized..." they than can use "run customized... -> and-build-documentation" where "and-build-documentation" is the stored build plan configuration.

Does there already exist such a feature? If not does such a feature makes sense to the commuinty. Of course I know, that the problem could be used with addidional build plans. But then I will end up with to many of them.
