I was a little bit confused by google search results for this.
Does bamboo has an option to store plan scripts in source control along with the code.
We used Jenkin's pipeline and looking for an alternative. The way it worked was:
1. Build plan is stored as a groovy script in the source code repository.
2. Every time any branch is updated with new commit, it's script is being run.
3. If the source code is updated in a way that requires adjustments to the build plan, old branches can still be built because code and build plan reside in the same repository.
Is there something analogous in Bamboo?
Hi art,
Yes, you can do that in Bamboo, we call it "Bamboo Specs". You can use YAML files for simpler plans or Java if you need more flexibility.
You'll find all details in the documentation below
thanks
