Setup bamboo server without GUI

Is there any option to setup bamboo server without GUI ?
I'd like to prepare a docker image taking license as one of the env params. Is this is somehow possible ? Maybe it's possible by REST API ?

Hi @Cezary Olborski,

When setting up Bamboo, providing the license is just one of the steps to be taken. Apart from that, you should select:

  • the installation type (Express or Custom), in which it is recommended making use of custom where you can work with external databases (e.g MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB) that are much less prone to errors if you compare to H2.
  • user administrator creation

And none of the options above are available outside the Bamboo GUI (during Bamboo's installation procedure), I am afraid.
