Remote agent unable to start

Hi, one of our remote agent has gone offline since morning with the below error.

2024-11-18 04:44:55,622 WARN [LastResortTerminationThread] [RemoteBuildAgent] Shutting down agent despite the fact that a non-daemon thread Thread[ActiveMQ Session Task-3301,7,main] is still running.

I have tried stopping and starting but to no avail.

netstat -tl | grep 54663 command shows nothing.

Kindly advise.
Note : This agent was running fine since today morning.

Welcome to Atlassian community.

There is not much enough information here to understand what happened to this remote agent and why even after restart it is not able to connect to Bamboo application. Let's follow the below steps.

1. run ps ef | grep bamboo and see if there are any agent process which is running, kill that with kill -9 pid

2. Now restart the agent process fresh by going to <bamboo-agent-home>bin and running bamboo-agent.sh start

3. Check the below 2 logs to see what errors are being displayed

* <bamboo-agent-home>atlassian-bamboo-agent.log

* <bamboo-agent-home>logs>atlassian-bamboo.log
