Possible to have sequential unique build numbers shared between all branches?

In a Bamboo build plan, the build numbers are only unique per plan branch. So, for example, branch "master" and branch "mycoolfeature" could both have a build number 5. My configuration is such that I move artifacts around with the build number in them and these means that their could be two conflicting artifacts.

Is there any way to have build numbers unique per the entire plan?
