MFA support in Bamboo 6.8.1 and Bitbucket 7.17.3 ?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
MFA was turned on for my user in Azure AD.
But I can't login now, wrong user/password. Getting only a Captcha, no MFA prompt.
We are using Crowd for login integration (which supposedly should go thru Jira that has Azure AD login configured)
MFA Login in Jira works for me (get prompt in MS Auth), but not for Bamboo or Bitbucket.
Sign-in diagnostic (Azure) is hanging for many minutes.
